These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of budgetcoachbrett.com (the "Site") and any related services offered by Budget Coach Brett ("I," "me," "my"), operated under Brett Schaffner, LLC, including private coaching, group coaching, memberships, workshops/webinars, and community access (collectively, the "Services").

By using the Site or Services, you agree to these Terms.

Who I am and what I provide

I provide educational coaching and support focused on budgeting/spending plans, money habits, and confidence with money.

I am not a financial advisor, accountant, tax professional, or attorney, and I do not provide financial, tax, or legal advice.

Not financial, legal, or tax advice

All content and services are for educational and informational purposes only.

You are responsible for your own financial decisions. If you need financial, legal, or tax advice, consult a qualified professional.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Services.

How booking works

Free Clairty Call

A Clarity Call is a short introductory call for us to meet, discuss your financial situation at a high level, and determine whether coaching is a good fit. It is not a guarnatee of ongoing coaching.

Private coaching (Plus/Premium)

Private coaching begins after we agree on a coaching plan and payment terms, agreed upon in a signed Budget Coaching Services Agreement. Unless otherwise stated, coaching calls are scheduled in advance and provided online.

One-off coaching session

These are single, paid sessions guided by the client's needs during that scheduled hour. Any follow-up outside the scheduled time is not included unless explicitly agreed.

Group coaching / Online membership community

The Money Mindset Club, my online membership community used for group coaching, includes a monthly topic-based group coaching call, monthly office hours Q&A session, and access to a member community. Features may evolve over time (courses, additional sessions, downloadable resources, etc.), but the general nature of the membership will remain consistent.

Payments, subscriptions, and billing

Payment processing

Payments are processed through third-party providers (e.g. Stripe). I do not store full payment card details.

Subscriptions

If you enroll in a coaching package, you authorize recurring billing at the stated rate for the minimum three-month commitment. After that date, unless requested by the client, the subscription moves to a month-to-month model and can be canceled at any time by sending a message on the Contact page.

If you enroll in the Money Mindset Club (online group coaching community), you authorize recurring billing at the stated rate on the respective sales page.

Cancellation: You can cancel your Money Mindset Club membership at any time through the membership portal. For cancellation of coaching packages, the minimum three-month commitment must be fulfilled, but after that the coaching plan can be canceled at any time. Cancellation stops future billing. You will retain access until the end o fyour current billing period.

Price changes

If pricing changes, you will be notified in advance. Any changes apply going forward and do not retroactively change past charges.

Refunds

Because coaching and memberships involve time access and/or delivered services, refund policies are as follows:

Private coaching

Private coaching fees are non-refundable.

One-off sessions

One-off sessions are non-refundable once delivered.

Online group coaching membership

Membership fees are non-refundable once a billing period begins. You can cancel to prevent future billing.

Rescheduling and missed sessions

Rescheduling

If you need to rescedule a booked session, please provide at least 24 hours notice and reschedule using the link provided in your booking.

Late cancellations / No-shows

If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice or do not show up, the session may be forfeited and counted as used.

My rescheduling

If I need to reschedule, I will offer the soonest available alternative and work to give at least 24 hours notice as a courtesy.

Support guidelines

Coaching support outside of scheduled calls is included in Plus and Premium plans via text and email. Async support takes place Monday to Friday between 8am to 8pm Eastern Time. Responses can be expected within 2 buisness days.

Community guidelines (Money Mindset Club)

If you join the online community, you agree to:

Be respectful and supportive
Avoid harassment, hate speech, or discrimination
Avoid sharing other members' personal information
Avoid spam, solicitation, or promotion without permission

Confidentiality note

The community is not a private 1:1 environment. Please do not share sensitive personal information you would not want others to see. You are responsible for what you post.

Enforcement

I may remove content or suspend/terminate access if you violate these guidelines, without refund.

Testimonials and shared stories

I may share client feedback or experiences as testimonials.

I may share anonymous testimonials by removing or changing identifying details
I will only share your name, photo, or identifying details with your written consent

If you later request removal of a testimonial, contact me using the Contact page. I will stop using it in future materials and do my best to remove it from online sources within a reasonable timeframe.

Intellectual property

All content on the Site and within the Services (including worksheets, videos, community materials, and written content) is owned by me or licensed to me and is protected by copyright and other laws.

You may use materials for personal use only. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, resell, or create derivative works without written permission.

Privacy

Your use of the Site and Services is also subject to my Privacy Policy.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Site and Services are provided "as is." I do not guarantee any specific financial outcome. Your results depend on your personal situation, effort, and many factors outside my control.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, I will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site or Services.

My total liability for any claim related to the Services is limited to the amount you paid to me in the past 90 days.

Termination

I reserve the right to refuse service, suspend, or terminate access to the Site, Services, or online community if you violate these Terms or engage in abusive, unlawful, or disruptive behavior.

If access is terminated for cause, refunds are not provided.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Nevada, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Changes to these Terms

I may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent version. Continued use of the Site or Services after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
